Abel Navarrete III

As an associate, Abel works closely with Dan to support clients during the planning process. He organizes documents, assists with communication, and does whatever he can to make their experience as smooth as possible. He is passionate about financial literacy, and he loves the opportunity to help raise awareness about different investment, retirement, and protection strategies. As a full-time student and entrepreneur (he is the owner of a snow cone shop and an athletic-wear business), he has learned that “Making money is easy; keeping it is the hard part,” and he hopes to help others create efficiency in their finances so they can protect and maximize everything they’ve worked for.

Personal Life

Abel grew up in Midland, Texas, and currently lives in Lubbock. He attends Texas Tech University, where he is pursuing a degree in personal financial planning. He played collegiate tennis his freshman and sophomore years, and in his spare time, he enjoys attending university events, going to the gym, and volunteering at his local church.

A Q&A with Abel

If you could eat only one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Probably Italian food—something like Olive Garden’s “Tour of Italy” but nicer.

What are you thankful for?

My place in life—I grew up in a lower-income family, and I’m a first-generation college student. Lots of my family members worked in the oil field, and it was a big goal to have an air-conditioned job. So I’m blessed to be here, getting to learn—and to have this nice AC!

What’s something new you tried recently?

I’ve started going to the gym at six in the morning with Dan.
